Richard K. Givan, 40, of Youngwood, died Saturday, March 23, 2002, in his home. He was born Dec. 4, 1961, in Cleveland, Ohio, a son of C. Michael and Barbara (Fallon) Givan of Youngwood. He is also survived by two daughters, Jaclyn Nicole Givan of Danville, Ind., and Heather Linn Givan of Youngwood; a sister, Julie E. Jackson and husband, Jim, of Danville, Ind.; a brother, Gregory M. Givan and special friend, Nicole Duchi, of Zelienople; a niece, Fallon E. Jackson; and his dog, Shadow. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Victor and Betty Givan; and his maternal grandparents, Dick and Avis Fallon. He was a licensed practical nurse and a student at WCCC. He served in the U.S. Navy as a Combat Medic with the Marine Corps. He was Methodist by faith, and an avid hunter and fisherman.
Barb and I, and his two daughters, along with the rest our family, have been devastated by his death. Our grief has been helped knowing he did not suffer, and the tremendous support of our neighbors and friends.
